The Whale // Giclee Paper Print

If you've ever skied Bridger Bowl, you probably know about The Whale. The Guardian Spirit of the canyon, superstitions and salutes make up the gratitude ritual surrounding this decades-long tradition. In the 70's, a canyon dweller carved the whale from a log on his property. The whale is a symbol of good fortune and well-being.

Animal totems, in general, were believed to have spiritual significance and watched over the family, clan, or tribe, symbolizing their guardian spirit or helper." I've been saluting The Whale my whole life on every drive down from skiing, biking, and hiking in the Bridgers. This print is extra special because the whale I painted has been replaced by a new one.
